This page will hold my upcoming silent movie plans. In all cases I provide live, improvised accompaniment on a Roland keyboard.
Some time around Halloween 2026, I’ll provide musical accompaniment for the 1931 Frankenstein, the one with Boris Karloff. That one has spoken dialogue, of course, but it has little music, and several silent film accompanists have shown the movie, adding their live music where it’s appropriate. The show will be at the Rye and Plaistow libraries. Watch this space for the times and dates. It’s LIVE!!
My next silent film show at the Plaistow, NH Library will be on June 23, 2026. The film will be D. W. Griffith’s America (1924), a semi-fictional treatment of the American Revolution.
You can find silent films and film snippets I’ve accompanied on my YouTube silent film list. The out-of-copyright films come from various sources, including the Internet Archive. Nearly all silent era films are now out of copyright.

Several years ago I accompanied several silent films at the Boskone science fiction convention in Boston. I don’t have a good record of the films and dates. On February 15, 2026, at Boskone 63, I accompanied The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923). The movie was scheduled to be shown with whatever music the video provided, but I made last-minute arrangements to provide live accompaniment.
(Caution: The movie below has strobe-like effects that may be unpleasant to people with some neurological conditions.)
